Free Face Mask Distribution Program
When to Use: Use to request a supply of face masks for eligible facilities, organizations, institutions or groups within the City boundaries that are assisting in the distribution of disposable face masks to the community.
City operated facilities such as public libraries, parks and recreation facilities, fire stations; etc., serving as a pickup location for the issuance of protective face masks to individuals should also use this form to request initial supply or re-order face masks.
Eligible Facilities Include: Shared Housing Facilities; Faith-Based Organizations; Recreational or Special Interest Groups; Volunteer or Charitable Services Groups, Disability Group Homes and possibly other non-profit organizations. If you are the owner, administrator, or operator of an eligible facility, organization, or group, OR you are a representative for a City-operated facility where individuals can pick-up a mask, please complete this form to request your supply of masks. If you are not sure if your facility or organization is eligible you may complete this form and someone from the program will contact you to discuss.
What to Expect: Once received, your request will be reviewed to confirm eligibility. Once eligibility is confirmed, the order will be prepared for pick-up or delivery within three (3) business days of receipt. Someone will need to contact to you to discuss details of your request, so when completing the request, please provide contact details of the best person for your facility, organization or group to coordinate those details.
If Picking Up Your Masks: We encourage you to pick up mask supplies if at all possible. You can pick up at Richmond Fire Headquarters; 201 E Franklin St, Richmond, VA 23219. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding holidays. Directions
If Requesting Delivery of Masks: If you choose to have supplies delivered, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am and 5:00 pm will be the days and hours of distribution. Contact will be made with the person named in your request form to ensure someone will be on location to receive the requested supplies.
PLEASE NOTE: If your organization has multiple locations, masks for ALL locations will be delivered to the primary location listed in your request and your organization will need to coordinate distributing to your other locations.
Number of Masks Available: Masks are provided in packets of 50 and you may request up to a maximum of 300 masks for each location that will be distributing masks.
Repeat orders: You may request more masks once the initial supply has been depleted to at or below 50 masks per location through your distribution efforts. Requests will be honored as long as supplies remain available.
Program Mission: This program aims to increase equitable access to face masks within our communities in an effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and will continue to operate as long as the City of Richmond continues to maintain an adequate supply and necessary funding.
Important Note: The owner, administrator, or operator of an eligible facility, organization, or institution acknowledges and affirms that these protective face masks issued will not be sold or distributed to non-eligible individuals or businesses.
